FNS40821 - Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking

This qualification reflects the function of those in the financial and mortgage broking industries. People in these positions use their theoretical and technical knowledge, abilities, and judgment to operate independently and use judgment when finishing routine tasks related to mortgage and financial broking.

  • Total = 52 weeks.
  • Tuition = 44 weeks.
  • Break = 8 weeks.

Candidates over the age of 18 (including senior citizens) who are working or want to work in the  Finance and Mortgage Broking area or completed Certificate III qualification within Financial  Services training package or similar qualification can apply. Learners who have prior education or work experience in the field can apply for credit transfer  and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). 

  • Must be of a minimum age of 18+ at the time of course commencement.
  • Candidates must have successfully completed at least grade 12 or equivalent. Or completed studies equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification from an English language speaking country 
  • Students may be required to undertake a few assessments of their Pre-Training Review (PTR) Test & Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test as part of their application process. Successful completion of LLN test is mandatory while applying for the qualification, before enrolment.

This qualification is designed for the individuals who has satisfactory knowledge to meet the  skills and knowledge require to perform the duties and responsibilities efficiently. It gives  participants the skills they need in a practical setting to deliver services at a degree of  professionalism that meets customer requirements. Its “interactive” style makes it very engaging,  giving participants the assurance to start working in the field right away. Possible job title  includes:  

  • Finance broking practice manager 
  • Client service officer 
  • Mortgage administration assistant 
  • Loan underwriter 
  • Lending officer 

Further training pathways from this qualification include, but are not limited to, higher education  in same field, for instance, FNS50322 – Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking  Management.

Outcome : 

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be awarded  FNS40821 – Certificate IV in  Finance and Mortgage Broking.
