BSB50820 - Diploma of Project Management

This qualification depicts the roles of individuals who apply project management knowledge and  abilities in a variety of contexts and industry sectors. Project management and leadership  responsibilities are held by certain people, who are also in charge of carrying out the project’s  goals. 

  • Total = 52 weeks.
  • Tuition = 44 weeks.
  • Break = 8 weeks.

Candidates over the age of 18 (including senior citizens) who wants to further develop their  skills and broaden their knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable  problems and analyze information from a variety of sources can apply. The target audience for this course is domestic students who wish to acquire the skills, knowledge, and practices necessary to find employment in the project management industries.

  • Must be of a minimum age of 18+ at the time of course commencement.
  • Candidates must have successfully completed at least grade 12 or equivalent. Or  completed studies equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification from an English  language speaking country 
  • Students may be required to undertake a few assessments of their Pre-Training  Review (PTR) Test & Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test as part of their  application process. Successful completion of LLN test is mandatory while applying for the qualification, before enrolment.

This qualification is designed for those who has experience, skills and knowledge to manage a  project’s scope, ensure quality and timeline parameters of a project are monitored and met,  ensure resourcing requirements for a project at the planning and execution stage of a project,  Identifies and have in place mitigation strategies for all project related risks, leads, motivate and  manage project team members. 

They are well-versed in theory and employ a variety of specialized, technical, and management  skills to initiate, plan, carry out, and assess their own work as well as that of others. 

The Diploma of Project Management course opens your world to pathways across many job  roles, including: 

  • Recruitment Officer  
  • General Project manager 
  • Human Resources Adviser 
  • Talent Management Consultant 
  • Project Manager and Project Team Leader  

Individuals in these roles have project leadership and management roles and are responsible  for achieving project objectives.

Candidates who successfully complete this certificate may continue on to BSB60720  Advanced Diploma of Program Management or a variety of Advanced Diploma-level  qualifications offered by the BSB Training Package or other Training Packages.

Outcome : 

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be awarded  BSB50820 – Diploma of Project  Management.
